Hanshi Maczuga, an Ordained Baptist Pastor and master martial artist, has been a trailblazer in private Christian education and the martial arts industry for over 37 years. He serves as the Founder, President, and CEO of the Vortex Martial Arts franchise and the Master’s Classical Christian Academy—the first nonprofit Christian PreK-12 academic institution in the USA to incorporate mixed martial arts as its primary physical education activity. A former state and national martial arts champion, Mr. Maczuga has competed nationwide with his students, achieving remarkable success in state, regional, and national dance and martial arts championships, including the Junior Olympics. He has also developed corporate personal safety programs for Fortune 500 companies and has trained security teams in prestigious businesses while providing personal bodyguard services for affluent clients. Globally recognized for his expertise, Hanshi Maczuga holds numerous black belt certifications, including a 1st Degree in Israeli Krav Maga, 2nd Degree in Koei-Kan Karate, Shotokan Karate, and Ashihara Karate, and 6th Degree in Martial Arts World/Tae Kwon Do/Hapkido. He also possesses Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) and Filipino Kali instructor certifications while cross-trained in Greco-Roman Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Russian Sambo. He currently holds an 8th-degree black belt through the Christian Martial Missions Association. In addition to pursuing a degree in Theology at Liberty University, he is a pastoral team member at Shenandoah Baptist Church in Cedar Park, TX. Although his extensive martial arts experience is a lifelong passion, his primary calling is to guide others to Christ through Christian education, church involvement, and daily ministry.
